This book was absolutely incredible from start to finish. I have never resonated as much and felt so much empathy from an author. It has truly changed my perspective on motherhood and completely validated my thoughts and emotions towards both my child and partner. I wish I had known about this book earlier!

I love this book, and it's such a message in dire need of being read by all mothers in our modern society - stay at home, work at home, work away from the home. We've been sold the lie that we can do and have it all - and we're paying the price. It's time to put down the baton that you feel you carry alone in this one woman relay, and remember that you need love too.

I just got this book and I absolutely can't put it down. I am pregnant but this book makes so much sense. I am glad I am reading it now and will be referring any of new pregnant friends of mine to read it also.

Powerful, reassuring and insightful read. This is the book that I needed, words that really resonated with me when I needed them. Amy articulates motherhood, it's highs and lows, and the changes women go through as they navigate motherhood so beautifully.

A real life encounter that explains the transition we go through from women to motherhood and what to expect along the transformation process. Totally identified with this book. I wish I read this before I gave birth, however it’s still relevant. Highly recommend.

Motherhood seems to be one of the greatest self development processes we could ever go through and this book gives us the insights into how and why that is. What a gift it is to finally get a name for it, matrescence, and the answers we have been searching for - all in one place and in a way that is so relatable.
